Ingredients
These chili ingredients are essential, but remember to adjust them to taste and add whatever you like!
Two pounds of ground beef. (You can also add sausage, brisket, ground chuck, etc. You can find amazing meats from our friends at Wien’s Wagyu. Use code “RML” to save 10% on your first order!)
Put the ground beef in the pan & get it pressed down as thin as possible. That’s gonna allow more smoke to cover more of the surface area.
Go ahead and get it seasoned with the smoked paprika, chili powder, kosher salt and ground black pepper.
Put this seasoned ground beef mixture on the smoker.
Have your smoker rolling at 250 degrees Fahrenheit.
Place the onion and green pepper on the hot zone or the hottest part of your pellet grill or smoker.
The total cooking time will vary, but we want to let this cook until it reaches that internal temperature of 160 degrees Fahrenheit (we recommend this waterproof thermometer). It should take about an hour.
Once the ground beef is fully cooked, drain the grease and discard.
Mix in the black, pinto, chili and kidney beans.
Add a can of diced tomatoes and half a can of tomato sauce.
Add the cumin, chili powder and Grunt Rub and mix into the chili.
I like to add a little bit of cilantro in my chili as well. It adds a nice, fresh flavor!
Get it on the smoker & cook at 300 degrees Fahrenheit for about another two hours.
This chili is just absolutely incredible. An easy and delicious way to kill some time on a fall day.
